1. How do I clean and care for stainless steel surfaces?
- Use stainless steel cleaner and polish.
- Wash external surfaces with warm soapy water. Wipe down surfaces with clean water and dry with a soft lint free cloth. DO NOT use scouring pads of any form as this may scratch the surface, avoid using abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads and gritty wash cloths.
- For interior surfaces in the oven use normal oven cleaners but always read the manufacturer's instructions on how to use them.
2. How do I clean the glass surface of the oven?
- Apply glass cleaner on a soft cloth and wipe on to the glass surface NEVER apply glass cleaner directly on the glass door. DO NOT use scouring pads of any form as this may scratch the surface, avoid using abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads and gritty wash cloths.
3. Where is the model and serial number located on my product?
- On opening the door of your appliance there is a silver rating label sticker which should be visible on the door edge. Your model number will begin with a 'CZ' code followed by a five digit number i.e. 'CZ12345', your serial number will consist only of a five digit number.
4. My new appliance smells why is this, is it normal?
- When using your oven for the first time the oven may smell for a short while burning off dust and manufacturing residues from the heating elements. This is normal and does not indicate a fault with the oven.
5. How do I set the clock on my oven/cooker?
- Please refer to your instruction manual or if you have misplaced it you can download a replacement manual from the Coolzone website simple click on 'product support and manual download'
6. Does my oven need pre-heating before I begin to cook?
- It is recommended to preheat the oven for a few minutes before cooking.
7. Why is my food being overcooked?
- All ovens/ cookers are different and you will in time get to know your oven / cooker better, use the recommended temperature stated in the recipe and if needed adjust the temperature accordingly.
8. What does energy consumption mean and which is the best one?
- Energy consumption refers to the amount of average electricity consumed by the appliance when in use. Using a scale of A-E you should be able to identify your appliances energy rating, with 'A' being the most energy efficient and 'E' being the least efficient. The better the energy rating the more economical and environmentally friendly your appliance is.

2. How do I clean and care for my gas burners?
- Frequent cleaning can help maintain the burners, clean regularly using warm soapy water and if needed use cooking cleaning agents to help remove tough stains. Always read the manufacturer's instructions before applying any cleaning agents on your appliance, wipe down with clean water and dry using a lint free cloth.
3. The hob burners on my gas hob are discoloured why is this?
- On occasion the burner caps will discolour this is due to the intense heat produced from the gas flame. Using cleaning agents will help in reducing this. Always read the manufacturer's instructions before applying any cleaning agents on your appliance, wipe down with clean water and dry using a lint free cloth
4. Where is the serial number located on my product?
- Beneath the hob you will find a silver rating label sticker, this sticker will contain information regarding your model and serial number. Your model number will begin with a 'CZ' code followed by a five digit number i.e. 'CZ12345', your serial number will consist only of a five digit number.
5. The gas rings on my gas hob fail to ignite
- Check that the burners are free from any fibres and are dry, remove burner caps and wipe around the burner rings with a dry lint free cloth and try to re-ignite
6. Is it possible to use my gas hob if the electricity goes out?
- All Coolzone gas hobs can be used in the case of a electricity power failure. Gas hobs can be fired up manually using an electric gas lighter.
7. The hotplates of my electric hob continue to be warm long after the using them
- Due to the dense materials used in the manufacture of your hotplates, they can on occasion feel warm long after the hob has been switched off.
8. What can I use to clean my cooker hotplates?
- It is recommended to frequently clean your hotplates to avoid build up of dirt which may become difficult to remove. Use warm soapy water to clean the hotplate ENSURE the hotplate is switched off at all times when cleaning. Dry using a lint free cloth. DO NOT use scouring pads of any form as this may scratch the surface, avoid using abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads and gritty wash cloths
9. Which pans are suitable for my ceramic hob?
- Do not use glass or copper bottomed pots or pans as this will cause damage to your ceramic glass. The best pans to use are those with a flat base. REMEMBER always to lift pots or pans and not slide them as this will cause damage to the ceramic surface.
10. Can my gas hob be used with LPG gas?
- Yes, all Coolzone gas hobs can be used with LPG gas, conversion jets are provided with every gas hob.
